About the Scituate Democratic Town Committee
Thank you for coming to the Scituate Democratic Town Committee's (SDTC) website. We hope all the citizens of Scituate find this website useful as it strives to keep everyone informed of local issues. At the SDTC we will do our part to help keep an open and balanced government by ensuring transparency of local government and accountability of our elected officials.
The SDTC holds monthly meetings at the Community House on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. All Scituate democrats are welcome to attend, the more the merrier! The following list describes some of the things we do at the SDTC:
- We monitor local elections for fairness
- We identify and present to the community candidates for local governement
- We identify local issues and present solutions
- We raise money through fund raisers to support all of our efforts
We're always looking for new members. If you're interested in joining please fill out a membership form.
The Scituate Democratic Town Committee is dedicated to the principle of balanced and open government. Our goal is to promote better government and improved education while maintaining the quality of life that so many of our citizens enjoy. Scituate is home to many talented and knowledgeable people. We support greater civic participation by these individuals based solely on their qualifications and not on their political affiliation.
